Yin Yang
Au départ, mon idée n’était pas de travailler sur le symbole du Ying Yang, mais sur un dessin en forme de double spirale de Fibonacci. Premier motif n’ayant rien à voir avec le StringArt, j’ai commencé à dessiner ma propre version, en connectant les deux figures. Le résultat s’est avéré être plus proche du Ying Yang que de spirales combinées. Cela devenait soudainement plus intéressant, et j’ai continué dans cette voie. Toutefois, la solution du tissage s’est avérée bien plus complexe à trouver qu’il n’y paraît, et chaque élément du tableau m’a demandé des heures de réflexion et de multiples essais avant de trouver enfin le rendu que je recherchais.
Initially, my idea was not to work on the Ying Yang symbol, but on a design in the form of a double Fibonacci spiral. Initial pattern I found had nothing to do with String Art. Inspired by this pattern, I started drawing my own version, connecting the two figures. The result turned out to be closer to the Ying Yang than to a combination of two spirals. It seemed interesting to me, and I continued along this path. However, the weaving solution turned out to be much more complex to find than it seems, and each element of the pattern took me hours of reflection and multiple tests before finally finding the result I was looking for.
